Clean and Clear: Proper Contact Lens Hygiene

Step 1: Wash Your Hands | Start by thoroughly washing your hands with soap and water. Make sure to rinse off any soap residue and dry your hands with a lint-free towel. Clean hands are crucial to prevent dirt and bacteria from transferring to your lenses.

Step 3: Clean Your Lenses | Place the contact lens in the palm of your hand and add a few drops of a recommended multipurpose contact lens solution. Gently rub the lens with your fingertip in a back-and-forth motion for about 20 seconds. This helps remove protein deposits and other debris.

Step 5: Replace the Solution | Never reuse the solution in your contact lens case. Empty the old solution and rinse the case with fresh solution. Air dry the case with the lids off during the day to prevent bacterial growth.

Step 7: Blink and Assess | Blink several times to ensure the lens is comfortable and properly positioned on your eye. If you experience any discomfort or blurry vision, remove the lens and inspect it for debris or damage.
